Statistica Analytics (ANL1)

Training course objectives 

The aim of this product course is to familiarize students with the analytical tools of the Statistica data analysis package. Participants should be able to perform basic analyses using the Statistica workspaces. At the same time, the simulation possibilities of the software package are used to better understand statistical concepts.

Target group

This course addresses professionals in service or industrial companies who want to use Statistica software to apply statistical testing and estimation methods in their work.

Course contents 

In a compact form, it provides a comprehensive insight into the statistical and graphical analysis capabilities of Statistica.

  • Data Management (Data Import,  Reports)
  • Elementary Statistics (Statistical Parameters, Grouping)
  • Analysis of Frequency Distributions
  • Simple Time Series Analyses (Trends, Seasonal Cycles)
  • Comparison of Measurement Series (t-tests, F-test, ANOVA)
  • Nonparametric Statistics (U-test, H-test)
  • Correlation
  • Linear Regression

The training consists of a short explanation of the mentioned procedures and the common development of examples as well as of independent solution of exercises. Examples in our standard courses are generally understandable data sets from different application areas.

Requirements 

In order to fully benefit from the training, participants should be familiar with the basic operation of the Statistica software and have basic statistical knowledge.

For participants without sufficient previous knowledge, we offer our methodology course "Introduction to Statistics - Part 1" (STA1) and the product course "Statistica Introduction" (STE). Supplementary product courses may include "Statistica Advanced Analytics" (ANL2) or "Experiment Planning with Statistica - Part 1" (DOE1).
