Spotfire is easy to use and leads quickly to insights when our customers apply it to their data. However, we at StatSoft experience often, that even easier to use tools benefit from “a bit” of introduction. To do that we offer trainings and training programs for Spotfire. These trainings are designed to accelerate the learning process of the team, help to overcome any barriers of entry, and provide knowledge about features that would not be obvious to the self-taught user.
Suited for everyone
When designing trainings or setting up whole training programs, we keep the attendees needs and skills in mind.
- We address the consumers, that are using a dashboard designed for them to gain insights and be able to do their job.
- We address the designer (or data scientist) whose role is to find novel ways to gain insights from data and “design” dashboards for others to consume.
- And we address the architects or system owner who are responsible for management of the software infrastructure.
Some participants will benefit from participating in all of these trainings but for most, the one fitting for their role is most efficient.
Conducted where you are
Trainings can be conducted remotely, with the participants joining the session from wherever they are located, giving the highest level of flexibility, no additional costs for travel, and lowest impact for the environment. Remote sessions can be scheduled more flexibly, for shorter training durations, with the effect of having the highest productivity for participants and trainer.
On-site trainings require more planning and all attendees at one physical location but have the added benefit of connecting the team among itself, as well as the trainer with the participants. Sitting in a conference room together and enjoying shared activities like lunch breaks, can do wonders to engage the team and make it more productive.
Finally, trainings can be held at training facilities in Hamburg where it brings opportunity to travel to and visit one beautiful city in Germany.
What is a “training”?
StatSoft trainings are conducted by experienced trainers. Their main goal is to satisfy the needs of the participants – help them accomplishing the tasks they are faced at work - and position StatSoft as a reliable partner for trainings and beyond. Trainings are based on standardized materials guiding the participants through the day and giving them the opportunity refer to the topics after the training as well. During the training the participants are encouraged to use the software during the presentation by the trainer as well as during exercises where participants can validate what they have learned.
Think big
StatSoft has a large stack of pre-built and proven training materials. These can be conducted immediately. If needed, individual training materials can be created by combination or designing new materials for specified use cases.
Multiple trainings can be combined in bigger customer-specific training programs. There we can address different groups of attendees, and taking timeframes, resources and (potential) fluctuations in the team into consideration.
When bigger teams are to be trained, we help conceptualizing and setting up training environments, so everything is ready to go and the attendees feel right at home when the training starts.
StatSoft also offers train-the-trainer options. This makes your internal experts the software champions able to perpetuate knowledge transfer in your organization without solely relying on StatSoft.
The next step
After the training, StatSoft activities can be focused more on the individuals. It can be highly productive to plan Q&A sessions in regular intervals to address post-training questions and to cover challenges stemming from day-to-day work with the software. In workshops, specific use cases can be solved together by using the software, applying the learned knowledge, assisted by StatSoft consultants. After trainings and other activities and during a training program, customer satisfaction can be monitored by online surveys and personalized feedback sessions, so that high satisfaction levels can be guaranteed.
