Statistica 14.4 LTS has been released

Statistica (also known as Spotfire Statistica and Spotfire Data Science Workbench) version 14.4 has been released in May 2026. This release continues the trend of optimizing the proven and feature rich data science platform to make it more reliable, more suited toward integration in analytical processes and overall is an easy to recommend update for existing users.

Long Term Support

This version is an LTS (long term support) release. Those releases are less frequent than mainstream releases and are supported for a longer period. We expect at least two years until the next LTS release. This makes 14.4 perfectly suited for larger installations with higher integration testing efforts.
With the release of 14.4 LTS, it has been announced that the support for the previous LTS release (14.1) will end in May 2028.

New Features

Version 14.4 introduces several noteworthy additions across usability, integration, and operations.

A significant improvement for enterprise deployments is the ability to store R function libraries directly in the Statistica Enterprise database. These libraries can then be referenced within R workspace nodes via a standardized path, with support for version control including pinning to a specific version, the latest version, or the latest approved version.

The Audit Log now records which Statistica application was in use for each login and logout event, giving administrators greater visibility into how the platform is being used across an organization.

Users of Spotfire Statistica Server (WebStatistica) will benefit from expanded support for protected workspaces that use Enterprise Data Configuration nodes with SQL filtered data. This makes it easier to transition from development to production while keeping finalized workspace configurations locked against unintended changes.

The Enterprise Migration Utility has been extended to allow access permissions to be assigned during the migration of database objects. A new dialog during migration lets administrators define which users and groups should have access in the destination database.

Support for Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) output has been extended to three additional machine learning nodes: NIPALS Algorithm for PLS, Standard Multiple Regression, and Standard Multiple Regression with Deployment. This improves automation options and makes it easier to operationalize models built with these methods.

Finally, two new configuration parameters for the Monitoring and Alerting Server (MAS) provide finer control over runtime behavior, specifically around the timing and number of attempts when acquiring ROS objects.

Conclusion

This release focusses on refinements, especially in the areas of organizing and automating analyses. It is a welcome upgrade for users requiring a reliable and production-ready data science suite.
