Introduction to Data Science with Python (PYEX)

This training course teaches the basics of using the Python programming language for data analysis. Participants receive an overview and systematic introduction to the most important software packages for Python in the data science environment. The basics of data structure and data management with the Pandas package are taught. The creation of simple and advanced graphics with the plotting packages Matplotlib and Seaborn will be covered. The basics of simple statistical methods and data mining using Scikit-Learn are presented.

    • Overview: Python basics
    • Overview of software packages in the data science environment
    • Data import and export
    • Data management and data cleansing
    • Creation of simple plots (histogram, line plot, scatter plot, box plot)
    • Adjustment of plots and multiple plots
    • Simple analytical methods (regressions, clustering, classification)

Python is a free programming language that is used for automation and application development. Through the use of free and extensive packages, Python has developed into a popular data science tool. Our Python courses are designed to be interactive to give participants the opportunity to try out the methods taught directly.

Each section is also concluded with a series of exercises to reinforce what has been learned. In our training center in Hamburg, a training PC is available for each participant to solve the exercises. The course progress is fully documented so that no notes are required and participants can concentrate on the active use of Python.

  • Online: These training sessions offer maximum flexibility without the need to travel. All participants work on their own PCs. We recommend using two monitors for this purpose.
  • Hamburg: With our training center in Hamburg, we provide a comfortable place for successful learning.
  • At your premises: We conduct the training courses on your premises for you and your colleagues.

We offer all our training sessions in both German and English languages.
