We are happy that Matthias is with us. And he has been with us for more than 3 years! What motivates him at StatSoft, what are his goals? We asked.
Why did you become a Data Scientist?
“As a meteorologist, I worked at the Max Planck Institute after my doctorate. Climate researchers work and analyse a lot of data by nature. I always enjoyed that, and at some point it was time to turn my back on science. By a happy coincidence, I ended up at StatSoft.”
What do you want to achieve with StatSoft?
“I would like to solve data-related challenges together with customers. I especially appreciate the exchange and cooperation in projects - the knowledge on the customer side combined with our expertise always leads to results that create added value. It’s great to see how our external, creative view on ‘data problems’ helps.”
What inspires you?
“My great colleagues! Everyone in the team makes a very special contribution and it is really fun to work with all of you. To get new inspiration and clear my head, I play guitar or run in the beautiful Raakmoor. But most of all, my family is my focus.”
